Has anyone had surgery for a torn rotator cuff? I'd like feedback on your experience. Thanks.

I have a friend who is extremely satisfied with a reverse shoulder surgery (because rotator cuff had disappeared), which was performed by Dr. Brian Robinson of Southwest Bone & Joint a few years back. My friend said that shoulder works even better than the one she didn't have surgery on!! Though, I'm not sure if Dr. Robinson is performing any surgeries since his bicycle accident; I do know he has been assisting with several. Might be a good place to start -- 534-1919

Hello, Thank you so much for this info. I called SW Bone and they said Dr. Robinson is indeed assisting with some surgeries. I'm scheduled with Dr. Carreon.

Dear untamed,

How long did your recovery take? Especially, how long before you could make any use of your right arm (if right-handed)? I am 71 years old . . .Thanks!
