I brought this link over from the gardening forum, about a town with vegetables growing in otherwise unused public spaces, where folks can browse as they please for free.

Couple this with Van Clothier's plan to harness stormwater runoff and we would have a perfect project to spend some Quality of Life bond money on, something that would sweeten our mental health, improve the environment functionally, beautify the town, facilitate compulsive gardeners in practicing their art, save the Town money on water in both supply and post-storm maintenance, and provide folks with good things to eat.

Now that's quality of life!

It's a fascinating perspective that "business", aka a healthy economy, can be advanced in a way that doesn't involve buying and selling things.

How about discussing this, Town Councilors?
