Today was our last market of the season and it was just as special as every other market. At the suggestion of Monica Rude, herbalist, a fire was accommodated to keep everyone warm. My husband David brought a sheepherder's stove to market and vendors Erich Ohlrich (the Sprout Wizard) and Jan Weisman added to the woodpile.

We had hot cider and many regulars and vendors no longer at market showed up to say goodbye and stock up on summer veges, apples, eggs, and winter squashes. It was a happy day for all of us because admittedly we are ready for the break. But also a sad day because just like you, we all love market.

So, thanks everyone for helping to make this yet another great market day and I think the best season of all. But then, I'm just a little prejudiced because this was my market for just one year.

See you next year...
Asunda

Thank you Asunda for doing such a fabulous job with the market!! I had so much fun each time I was there and the entertainment was outstanding!!! A hearty thank you from SNAP for letting us do the dog show, which was a grand success and for donating the canopy. See you next year!!!! Pat

I loved gathering around Asunda's wood stove in the cold morning, the scent of cider in the air - it was a wonderful way to end the summer. My gratitude to all the vendors, artists and musicians for contributing to our community. We are all healthier and happier thanks to your hard work.
I just wish the person doing the sugar skulls had kept her word about being there; we made a second trip to the market just for that, only to find she never showed up.

Jef - The gal with the sugar skulls was there, just not where expected. She was set up over with the crafts across the street. There was a misunderstanding. Anyhow, her name is Kathy Whiteman and her skulls and calacas were just wonderful. Sorry you missed them.
