The black on the far side of the roadway is asphalt. Paving the north approach of the bridge began Monday morning. The concrete blankets in the foreground will continue to used to keep the dirt, asphalt and concrete warm through the night.The paving at the north end of the bridge will extend 300 feet to reach the bridge.

The semi above is delivering gravel to cover the asphalt. The workers in the foreground are preparing to place more sidewalk.
